Headteacher
I feel extremely privileged to lead this very caring and welcoming primary school, which serves a diverse community of approximately 220 children.
I have great delight in getting to know all of the children and their little personalities. I feel extremely honoured to be able to watch them grow and develop into independent, resilient and caring young people.
Being a mum to 3 children is an absolute joy and my hopes and ambitions for their experience of school life certainly sets the bar for what I strive to achieve at Broadwood primary school.
All staff and governors are fully committed to providing the best possible education for all children as we want every child to reach their true potential and be the very best that they can be.
If you see me in the school yard, please pop over and say 'hello'. I am always open to new ideas and the feedback from our community is very important to me.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support!
Please do not hesitate to contact me if there is anything you would like to discuss.
Kind Regards
Mrs Wendy Mitcheson
Deputy Headteacher / Early Years Lead
Hi,
I am Susan Brooks-Tyreman, Deputy Headteacher of this wonderful school. I have worked at Broadwood for many years, and it has been a privilege to see so many children grow and develop and move onto their next adventures in education.
Early Years is a special passion of mine – being Nursery class teacher and being part of our fantastic Foundation Stage team is so rewarding; having the opportunity to lead the team is a role I love.
I am a mum with two children, both grown up now. My son has entered teaching himself and my daughter has just begun her university journey and it is so exciting to see where her journey will lead to.
As a family we have a love of music and seeing bands, reading and travelling and have visited many places in the world and always thinking where we might like to go next.
It is a real privilege to be Deputy Head of this fantastic school, supporting your children in their learning journey and working with yourselves and others in the community to ensure their journey is successful and rewarding.
I always have an open door if there is anything you wish to discuss with me or maybe just want a chat.
