We are using our local community to enrich our learning.

We believe it is essential for children to engage with activities within our local community, as well as participate in visits that extend beyond our immediate surroundings. These experiences not only enrich the educational journey of our children but also foster a sense of belonging and responsibility towards the community.

Throughout this academic year, children across the school have had the opportunity to visit several local venues, including Scotswood Gardens, Safety Works, Denton Library, John Marley Centre and Denton Burn Methodist Church. Each of these locations provides unique and valuable learning experiences, allowing our children to explore various aspects of their community while developing important life skills.

These visits underscore our commitment to supporting and strengthening our local community. By integrating community engagement into our curriculum, we aim to enhance our childrens’ understanding of their environment and encourage them to become active, informed citizens. We are proud of the partnerships we have established and look forward to continuing these enriching experiences for our children.
